Community singing for connection and resilience
Singing together is a beautiful way to connect and grow community. It regulates the nervous system, allows emotional expression and recovery from hurt. Singing brings us together in joy, grief and friendship. It allows us to unite across difference and in shared experience. Singing holds us in purpose and harmony.

I have been leading community singing for more than twenty years and I love bringing people together in harmony and shared delight. It is so satisfying to create harmonies quickly in simple songs and to hear more complex ones come together.
I ran StroudSong community choir for 15 years and now run regular groups and occasional workshops.
My groups are warm, welcoming and as inclusive as I can make them. I love encouraging nervous singers. I know that singing can be a vulnerable thing as well as a joyful way to spend time together.
I teach by ear, in a circle and with a lot of care. I am a member of the Natural Voice Network.
